Sellvana hosting environment under development at ZeroLag

ZeroLag building optimized Sellvana hosting environment for testing purposes

A Sellvana hosting environment for testing of the new e-commerce platform is now under development at ZeroLag, the company announced today.

Sellvana is an all-new open-source e-commerce platform based on a proprietary PHP framework. Sellvana was launched in 2013 and is currently in alpha testing with selected merchants and developers. ZeroLag is one of the first hosting companies working directly with Sellvana to develop commercial hosting solutions which are optimized for Sellvana.

“We’re very excited about Sellvana’s potential to make powerful e-commerce capabilities more accessible to online merchants,” said Will Bernstein, ZeroLag’s executive VP of sales and marketing.

Co-founded by Boris Gurvich, former lead architect and developer of the popular Magento e-commerce platform, Sellvana recently raised a $5 million seed round. The company claims the Sellvana e-commerce platform offers numerous advantages for merchants such as high performance with large product catalogs, integrated SEO capabilities, and support for responsive design.

Sellvana hosting optimized for performance

sellvana-hosting“We have deep experience in developing highly optimized managed hosting environments for Magento e-commerce sites, including complex multi-server clusters for large and transaction-intensive sites,” explained Bernstein. “This experience will serve us well when it comes to understanding the technical requirements of the Sellvana platform and what it takes to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and security for Sellvana hosting.”

ZeroLag’s Sellvana hosting environment will be located in ZeroLag’s SSAE 16-certified Tier 4 data center, and will leverage the features and benefits enjoyed by all ZeroLag web hosting customers, including N+1 fully redundant systems, 10 Gb network backbone, and connections to three separate Tier 1 Internet providers.

Over the last decade, we’ve learned that managed hosting solutions for database-driven web applications like e-commerce must be extremely well engineered,” said ZeroLag CEO Greg Strelzoff. “Every solution we provide is custom-designed for the unique business needs of our customers – nothing we do is ‘off the rack.’ We’ll utilize the same approach to Sellvana hosting and sweat every detail to make sure we provide uncompromising service to our clients.”
