We’ve previously covered developments with the fledgling Sellvana e-commerce platform, founded by former Magento developer Boris Gurvich in 2013, and recipient of a $5 million seed round raised from unamed investors earlier this year.
It now appears that Sellvana, like many developers of open-source applications, will offer an official marketplace where users can obtain themes, plug-ins, and other add-ons published by Sellvana’s rapidly growing ecosystem of developers.
The company has announced that it will soon release an alpha version of the marketplace. Sellvana has conducted webinars for developers on topics such as Introduction to Sellvana Module Development, and has shared a sneak peak of the marketplace in a recent blog post: One-Click Module Publishing and Installation with Sellvana Marketplace.
The Sellvana e-commerce platform is currently in private beta and the company invites interested developers and merchants to request access via its web site.
