Michael Dell, recently interviewed on CNBC, noted that his company sells hardware and infrastructure to cloud giant Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as many other cloud providers. But Mr. Dell isn’t content to merely play supplier to the rapidly growing cloud industry. He has also moved his company into direct competition with some of his largest customers, such as AWS.
Dell now offers several flavors of public cloud services, including ZeroLag’s VMware-based cloud. Dell also provides its own multi-cloud management solution – technology developed by recently acquired Enstratius – that frees customers from dependence on a single cloud. Read more
