If you are using OSX Mail, please ensure that it is version 2.0 or higher. Earlier versions have limited spam filtering ability. One of the strengths of OSX Mail is that it already includes an option to search for our X-Spam-Flag: YES header. Follow these steps to ensure it is properly set up on your system.
- Launch OSX Mail.
- Click Mail, then Preferences.
- Click Junk Mail. This area controls all of your junk mail settings.
Check the Trust junk mail headers set by my Internet Service Provider option. You can optionally configure arrival actions and exemptions in this window. After making your changes, restart OSX Mail to ensure they take effect.
